Japanese Mother Seeks to Reunite with Her Son in Taiwan
After years of legal battles, a Japanese mother won custody of her son, but her son and ex-husband are now nowhere to be found. The mother reached out to a Taiwanese investigative agency for help in locating her son, who had been taken to Taiwan by her ex-husband. Despite limited financial resources, she hoped the agency could assist in locating the child.
Having fought tirelessly for custody, the mother’s victory in court came too late. Her ex-husband, along with their son, had already relocated to Taiwan. After obtaining a ruling from a Japanese court, she sought the help of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The official assistance, however, was limited to confirming the son’s entry into Taiwan. This weary mother, who works to support her daughter and herself, now faced the daunting task of tracking down her son, who had been deliberately hidden by his father. For over three years, she had not been able to see her son, and her ex-husband refused to share even a photo of him.
Driven by a deep love and longing for her child, the mother decided to enlist the help of Lex Solution Investigations, a Taiwan-based agency specializing in locating individuals. She explained that, after deducting travel expenses for bringing her son back to Japan, her available budget for the investigation was limited to approximately 200,000 Japanese yen. She earnestly requested the agency’s assistance.
For a professional investigation firm, finding someone is not an overly difficult task, but it does come with significant costs for data acquisition and the investigators’ fees. Typically, such services are expensive, and the mother’s budget was insufficient to cover all necessary expenses. However, motivated by a desire to help, Lex Solution Investigations took on the case. Remarkably, within less than a month, they successfully located the son.
The mother, overjoyed by the news, traveled to Taiwan to reunite with her beloved son. However, she soon discovered that the Japanese court’s custody order held no legal weight in Taiwan. Her determination to reunite with her child was met with frustration, but she remained strong in her pursuit.
Witnessing her distress, the team at Lex Solution Investigations rallied together and raised funds to hire a lawyer to help. With their support, the Japanese custody ruling was recognized by the Taiwanese courts. Several months later, the mother was finally able to embrace her son and bring him home to Japan.
This heartwarming story is a testament to the strength and resilience of a mother’s love, as well as the commitment of Lex Solution Investigations in providing compassionate assistance, even when faced with challenging circumstances.
