Covert Surveillance

Surveillance can be either overt or covert.
Most investigations conducted by private investigators or detective agencies, like Lex Solution Investigations, involve private or corporate matters. Often, the subjects are completely unaware they are being observed, as these operations are typically covert.

Overt Surveillance is seen in places like store entrances or security cameras within a shop, where their presence is visible to everyone and records activities within a designated area.

Covert Surveillance Operations typically require a team of at least three investigators or operatives. A car, acting as the command center for the mission, is equipped with advanced monitoring tools. It is supported by a motorcycle for flexibility and an investigator on foot for close tracking. Each team member carries video and audio recording devices.

When the subject moves on foot, the responsibility shifts to the investigator on foot. They must keep the target within sight, even as the subject crosses streets, navigates parks, or uses public transportation. The operative must employ effective stealth techniques to remain undetected while staying close enough to monitor the subject’s activities.

Why Use a Motorcycle?
In some investigations, the subject may suddenly decide to take a taxi or make an unexpected move. Traffic congestion or unforeseen obstacles can cause the primary surveillance vehicle to lose contact with the target. The investigator on the motorcycle steps in to maintain control of the situation, ensuring the target remains within the team’s operational range until the main unit can resume surveillance.

Covert surveillance operations are often imagined as thrilling, high-stakes endeavors. However, in reality, Lex Solution Investigations deploys teams of investigators who may spend hours hidden in concealed positions, awaiting the right moment to act. These assignments demand exceptional mobility, patience, and physical stamina. Investigators must remain laser-focused for extended periods, monitoring the subject’s vehicle or designated areas without breaks. Sleep, fatigue, and basic needs like restroom visits must be managed swiftly and efficiently to return to their surveillance post as quickly as possible.

Covert surveillance is far from an easy task. Lex Solution Investigations invites you to let your imagination fill in the rest.
